Social Thinking is a treatment and assessment methodology that explores how the social mind develops and works. We create frameworks and strategies to foster social learning in individuals who are academically bright, but struggle to develop and maintain successful social relationships in school, at work, in the community, and at home.
Social Thinking is a language and cognitive based methodology comprised of many evidence-based components that tap into the dynamic and synergistic nature of social attention, social interpretation, social problem solving, and social responses. The methodology focuses on building SOCIAL COMPENTENCIES rather than simply teaching the production of social skills. We place a high value on stakeholder input and clinical expertise during the translation of evidence-based concepts into practical conceptual frameworks, strategy-based frameworks, curricula, lessons, and motivational tools.
Our curricula and strategies are designed for individuals with social learning challenges ages 4 years-adulthood across a wide range of diagnostic categories.
