Campbell Scientific, Inc.
Campbell Scientific manufactures weather stations -- including custom monitoring stations and the ET107 automated weather station -- that can supply data which play important roles in irrigation and agriculture. Data gathered from the station’s research-grade suite of sensors can be used for many purposes including:
(1) Calculating water loss due to evapotranspiration or monitoring soil moisture to improve plant health and to save water and money that would be lost through over-irrigation,
(2) Supplying parameters to models for timing interventions for weed, pest and disease control, and
(3) Monitoring current conditions that may require immediate actions such as freezing temperatures, wind direction during irrigation or chemical applications, or precipitation for irrigation shutoff.
Campbell Scientific also manufactures the portable Hydrosense II hand-held system which measures soil water content for improving and validating irrigation efficiency.
And Campbell Scientific's VisualWeather software provides station owners with a way to collect, store, and display current and historical meteorological data to enhance the value of the station.
