Stage Managers' Association

United States
  • Booth: 437

The Stage Managers' Association, founded in 1982, is a professional organization of stage managers who work in theater, dance, opera, industrials, special events, and other venues. Through meetings and events nationwide and in the New York area, its website, and regional activities coordinated by its members, the SMA seeks to create a network through which stage managers can share ideas, educate themselves, and build strong relationships. Among the benefits of membership, the SMA provides job openings posted via e-mail, a resume Directory, discussion forums, and our website. Although the SMA is not a labor union, its membership includes those of AEA, AGMA, AGVA, AFTRA, and DGA, among other entertainment industry unions, as well as nonunion, career-minded stage managers.
