Corac is an innovative research and technology group, specialising in direct drive, high speed turbomachinery & power electronics. Established in 1996 on the Science Park at Brunel University, and now operating from a purpose-built Technology Centre in Slough, Corac has developed capabilities in gas bearings, permanent magnet motors, fluid machines, thermal design and power electronics.  These combine in compact, highly efficient integrated systems  that can operate in harsh environments.
