Three by Three Seattle Takes a New Angle on Magnets
Three by Three Seattle adds an unexpected element of striking industrial design to their extensive line of magnets with new Polyhedra Magnets. Each polyhedron is structurally distinctive and features finishes like wood grain and polished metals that enhance their sharp geometry. Every individual form – tetrahedron, cube, octahedron, dodecahedron, and icosahedron – is backed by a superstrong rare earth mighties® magnet, making it easy to create dimension on any magnetic surface.
“I was inspired by the simple beauty of geometry,” says Ellen Thomson, designer. “I chose these forms (the Platonic solids) because I find their symmetry very appealing. They play well with each other without being homogenous.” CEO Anita Nadelson adds, “We knew polyhedra magnets would be a perfect fit the moment Ellen presented the idea.”
Polyhedra magnets are available in two sizes and three sets. The small cast metal polyhedra, available in copper, gold, silver, and pewter, are sold in sets of 5. The large polyresin woodgrain polyhedra, available in light, dark, and teal wash, are sold in sets of 3 and sets of 5.

Since 1995, Three by Three Seattle products have made busy lives beautifully efficient. Whether outfitting a home, office, or dorm, each innovative organizing solution is worthy of display in any contemporary setting.
The company’s magnetic strip bulletin board design introduced the magnet board category as it’s known today. In recent years, they revamped the whiteboard industry with fresh, alternative dry-erase surfaces, including bamboo, glass, silicone, and stainless. Their current line consists of dry-erase boards, chalk boards, magnet boards, desk and wall organizers, hooks, and magnets. The design team also creates custom promotional products and has worked with a broad range of clients, including Nike, Starbucks, Herman Miller, Bravo Networks, Nine West, and W Hotels.
