    Original T-Bag Designs, located in a small village south of Cape Town, South Africa, has created employment for previously disadvantaged individuals - creating jobs one teabag at a time. Proving that one cup of tea has indeed provided community, love, excitement and financial security.

    The canvas for each of their products is a recycled teabag. Used teabags are dried, emptied, ironed and painted. Each artist adds their own unique style, thus each item is a piece of art.The product line includes tealights that have a beautiful glow when lit, small trays, trinket boxes, coasters, key rings and more.

  • Kapula Candles and Ceramics are hand made and hand painted in South Africa. The beautiful designs are perfect for gift giving and personal home decor. They are made from the highest quality materials. The candles are dripless, long burning and unscented. The ceramics are microwave and dishwasher safe.

    Over 90% of the artisans are women, primarily single mothers.  The purchase of their products helps to provide self sufficiency for these women; positively impacting their families and their communities. Our mission is to provide resources, beyond the purchase of their products, so that their businesses thrive and employ even more women.  

    We stock a wide variety of designs in the States, and ship from our Detroit facility. We can also customize designs that tie-in with an event, include your corporate logo or personal monogram, or create a design that supports a specific theme (allow 4-6 months for the design approval, creation and shipping).
