Colorado Rug Designer launches new Geo[metry] collection exploring a new palette of colors with complimentary line of accent pillows
[March 1, 2017, Carbondale, CO] Marcia Weese will launch her third collection of hand made rugs, named Geo[metry] this May at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) in New York. The designs are based on the concept of the grid as well as its termination to “imbue an unruffled order”. The color scheme employs a cool blue, gray, and white palette that according to Weese is “based on the quality of light at various times of day and night.” The four patterns will come in five background and six accent colors, as well as custom combinations.
Also new for 2017, Weese has designed a line of vibrantly colored, hand-knotted silk and linen accent pillows ($375 each). Handmade in Nepal and geometrically inspired, the catalyst for the pillow collection was to complement the tones of the new rugs, though custom color commissions are also available.
