Spina Bifida Association of Northeastern New York
The Spina Bifida Association of Northeastern New York's (SBANENY) mission is to build a better and brighter future for all those impacted by Spina Bifida. Spina Bifida is a birth defect occurring in the first month of pregnancy when the spinal column does not form or close properly leaving nerves exposed resulting in spinal cord damage. To pursue our mission, SBANENY provides information, referral, education, advocacy, systems navigation, and programming to individuals living with Spina Bifida and their family members. These services are available at no cost and across the lifespan.
