Achilles International was founded in 1983 by Dick Traum, the first athlete to run a marathon on a prosthetic leg.
The mission of Achilles is to transform the lives of people with disabilities through athletic programs and social connection.
With 70 chapters around the world - (including Achilles Houston!) - and school-based programs across the U.S., over 200,000 youth, adults and veterans have experienced the power of crossing a finish line.
