Auburn University offers an exciting new program leading to the award of the Graduate Certificate in Brewing Science and Operations. This program is designed to prepare candidates for entry into the malting, brewing and/or distilling industries. The program offers an array of courses with emphasis in biology, microbiology, chemistry, brewing science, agronomy, facilities and operations and business planning. The program is delivered entirely via distance education and will marry traditional educational approaches with real world application leading to a state of the art interactive learning experience. To this end the program has partnered with Oskar Blues Brewing of Longmont, Colorado and the Alabama Brewing Industry to showcase best practice in all elements of brewing, brewery operations and business planning.
