Ed Hodgdon is the Secretary of NEAAPA, the premier regional attractions association, covering the Northeast United States. Ed has been in this role since 2011, and prior to that was on the Board of Directors beginning in 2006.

At NEAAPA, Ed’s role is to handle the day-to-day operations of the Association including membership recruitment and state-level advocacy in New England and in New York State.

Ed’s background is in marketing, working at Funtown Splashtown USA for 20 years before striking out on his own, opening Hodgdon Consulting in 2021, specializing in advertising, marketing, and PR for businesses in any industry.

Ed also serves on the board of the Maine Beaches Association, focusing on regional tourism initiatives in Southern Maine.

Ed has spoken at several conferences including IAAPA, WWA, NEAAPA, and the Maine Beaches Association. Ed has also worked on legislation throughout New England and has testified to the legislative bodies about bills that have an effect on the attractions industry.
