The National Peanut Board is a research and promotion organization for America’s 7,000 peanut farming families. In partnership with food allergy advocates and health experts, we are a resource for evidence-based information on food allergies. Groundbreaking research known as the Learning Early About Peanuts (LEAP) study led the National Institutes of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) to develop new guidelines on introducing peanut foods to infants. Earlier this year, AAP also updated infant feeding guidelines to recommend early peanut introduction for all infants. With the potential to prevent peanut allergy development in up to 90,000 infants a year, we want to help you communicate these recommendations to parents and caregivers. Find out more about the early peanut introduction guidelines and download patient-friendly resources to use in your practice at PreventPeanutAllergies.org and PeanutAllergyFacts.org.
