Children’s Hospital at Montefiore (CHAM) is recognized by U.S. News & World Report among the best children’s hospitals in multiple pediatric subspecialties (Cancer, Gastroenterology & GI Surgery, Neonatology, Nephrology, Neurology & Neurosurgery, Orthopedics and Urology).

Each year, CHAM cares for over 9,000 infants, children and adolescents with complex medical and surgical conditions, including 1,100 in our state-of-the-art pediatric critical care unit, and 900 critically ill newborns in our neonatal intensive care units. Among the nation’s busiest pediatric ambulatory programs, nearly 200,000 children are treated in our pediatric emergency department, outpatient clinics and school health clinics and through Montefiore’s innovative community outreach.

As the Pediatric Hospital for Albert Einstein College of Medicine, CHAM investigators’ groundbreaking discoveries have led to new therapies and models of care, allowing better outcomes for children cared for at CHAM and throughout the world. Our mission is to provide outstanding clinical care in a family-centered, healing environment; educate tomorrow’s healthcare professionals; discover new treatments through innovative research; and advance the health of all children.

Since opening in 2001, CHAM’s goal remains providing children with the best opportunities to lead active, healthy lives and realize their full potential. To achieve this, we’ve recruited some of the world’s leading pediatric specialists and child health investigators, while implementing the latest technologies, to deliver the highest quality healthcare with compassion and sensitivity to the needs of the children, families and communities we serve.
