CDC Division of Oral Health
The CDC Division of Oral Health provides leadership to improve the nation’s oral health. The CDC Division of Oral Health provides funding, technical assistance, and training for state oral health departments. The Division of Oral Health promotes evidence-based interventions to reduce disparities in cavities including dental sealants and community water fluoridation; conducts national surveillance on the prevalence of oral diseases and factors influencing oral health; develops guidelines for infection prevention and control in dental settings; and works to integrate oral health with other chronic disease programs. The division also offers a Dental Public Health Residency Program to produce skilled specialists in dental public health.
