About RightSide Children’s Apparel
RightSide Children’s Apparel was founded to solve a problem that many families quietly struggle with every single day: getting kids dressed—without the meltdowns, confusion, or discomfort.
Founded in 2023 by Tami Woetzel, a veteran special education teacher and mother to a child with special needs, RightSide Children was born out of love, lived experience, and a drive to create a solution that helps children feel confident and capable—starting with what they wear.
After more than two decades in education, Tami saw firsthand how many children—especially those with autism, sensory processing disorder (SPD), ADHD, or developmental delays—face daily challenges with clothing. Tags irritate. Seams distract. Inside-out shirts create confusion or even social embarrassment. For families juggling routines, therapies, and school drop-offs, even small struggles can add up to a hard start to the day.
RightSide Children’s mission is to make getting dressed one less thing to worry about.
Our clothing is sensory-friendly, reversible, and designed for independence. That means no itchy tags, no obvious front or back, and no "wrong" way to wear it. We take a minimalist, inclusive approach to design—offering styles that are soft, simple, and empowering for children of all abilities.
At the heart of RightSide is a belief that clothing should meet the child where they are, not the other way around.
We know that every child is unique. Some need predictability. Some need fewer choices. Some need to feel successful in the little things so they can thrive in the big ones. RightSide garments give them the chance to start each day with a win—putting on their clothes correctly and comfortably, all by themselves. That’s more than just a convenience—it’s confidence, dignity, and inclusion in action.
