SCAHC is a non-profit, Tribally-operated (638) medical center serving the San Carlos Apache Tribe in eastern Arizona. We are recruiting BC/BE emergency physicians, including for the following leadership roles:
- Trauma Director
- Pediatrics Preparedness Director
- ED Informaticist
These positions include a complete benefits package, generous compensation and protected administrative time.
SCAHC was founded in 2015 as a collaboration between the San Carlos Apache Tribe and Indian Health Service (IHS). We provide a full range of services, including outpatient primary and specialty care, inpatient acute care and surgical services, and continue to grow. Our 16-bed ER see 27,000 visits annually. We are a level IV trauma center and base station for the San Carlos Apache EMS with active helipad.
Our goal is to provide world class emergency care for the San Carlos Apache community and to be a national leader in rural emergency medicine.
Housing is provided while on shift and subsidized long-term housing is available on site. Many physicians choose to live in Phoenix or Tucson, each a 2-hour drive away. Shifts can be grouped together to cut down on commuting time.
