The TV-show format Wipeout is coming to Orlando this November during the World's biggest attraction show IAAPA. Dutch licensee Famous Obstacles and Gameshows (FOG) is selected by Wipeout’s brand owner Endemol Shine Group to build and sell Wipeout obstacles as an attraction park feature all over the world.
Since its 2008 premiere on ABC, the wildly successful Wipeout series expanded internationally, with local versions in 29 key territories, distributed in 125 countries around the globe, spanning Europe, North and South America, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific. And now it’s available for park owners to create their own live event course.
‘Unique!’ says Patrick Janssen, CEO of FOG and a Wipeout park owner himself. ‘Wipeout as a public attraction doesn’t exist at this moment but can become the very next thing in leisure. The secret of Wipeout's unique success is its ability to make people want to be a part of the experience and that’s possible now!’
According to Patrick, contestants aren't buffed-out athletes, they're your neighbours, your parents, or even you! It’s about the fun as seen on TV and experience it yourself now. Sharing every grimace, feeling every hilarious Wipeout, and laughing with contestants as they endure the spectacular crashes and smashes.
FOG will show the iconic obstacles as the Big Red Balls, the Sweeper, the Sucker Punch and the Dizzy Dummy in Amsterdam and offers an exclusive license per country. First comes, first served.
