Flip Out Macau is the latest addition to the glamorous entertainment resort of Studio City Macau, which includes not only a luxury hotel and casino but a virtual reality park, a Warner bro’s fun zone and multiple family restaurants. This park is now pivotal to the strategy of the resort as it attempts to attract more families.
Today we chat to the franchisee Sunnee Campbell whilst she enjoys her ferry back to the Chinese mainland before jumping a 9 hours flight to Sydney, where she lives.
It has been 2 weeks since the school broke up in Macau, and the park has been booming, although the nature of the clientele means very little pre-bookings as most prefer to walk in and pay-as-you-go. Something that allows BookNow Software to show it's adaptability.
Transitioning from booking only to integrated software.
Sunnee has previous experience with booking software, having previously designed and built her own booking system. Though, when she decided to take on the Flip out franchise for China, it became apparent that the software she had built would not provide the point of sale software that was required in this pay-as-you-go market. Furthermore, whilst exploring other potential providers, the lack of ability to translate into the required local dialect became a further stumbling block, something that BookNow was able to overcome.
Despite initial concerns about the infancy of the BookNow, and the ability to deliver it’s support to a company on the other side of the world, Sunnee is pleased that following the first 4 months of operation, these concerns have more than been addressed with it’s direct method of support, meaning any issues have been swiftly dealt with directly by the person who knows.
Keeping queue times low and satisfaction high.
For trampoline parks, the dominant channel is usually the website. Majority of customer pre-book their experience and complete their waiver before attending the venue. However, for the people of Macau, the EPOS platform governs the customer journey. This means that BookNow’s simple to use system ensures the Flip Out team can provide an efficient booking process for customers, keeping queue times low, and increasing customer satisfaction. For now, Flip Out have a system that Sunnee describes as efficient and easy to use. However, with BookNow being built on Salesforce technology Salesforce is the global leading provider of CRM
solutions for Sales, Marketing and Customer Service, this means they still have scope to explore and integrate systems that support cashless payments, membership management and marketing solutions.
The future relationship.
At just 4 months old the relationship between BookNow and Flip Out is still developing. Sunnee highlights the relationship with salesforce as another key benefit of the BookNow software, one which they are yet to explore. This means it is an exciting future as they look to utilise the marketing platforms to deliver business growth once the initial launch curve begins to plateau in Macau, and they are perfectly positioned to expand their offering once future sites open in mainland China.
