We are a USDA certified 24 acre farm specializing in cultivating high quality shiitake mushrooms. The farm has over 155,000 square feet of greenhouse space producing more than 30,000 pounds a week. It is located in the Nooksack valley foothills of the Cascade Mountains which sources water from local Mt. Baker. We supply directly to restaurants, farmers markets, grocery stores as well as distributors up to Southern California.
The greenhouses are filled with racked logs in all stages of blooming giving us the ability to fulfill orders daily. The production is increasing every day for the growing demand for shiitakes mushrooms. We believe this is due to all the health benefits the mushroom has to offer.
The mountain valley fresh air that flows through the greenhouses coupled with the high mineral water from Mt. Baker produces a unique, meaty and healthy mushroom. This is extremely important due to the mushroom’s high 95% water content. We carefully manicure each mushroom log to harvest a large plump round shiitake mushroom. The plumper they are the longer they stay fresh. We are told by our repeat customers that this is the reason why they keep purchasing from us.
