The Colorado Mushroom Farm is located in Alamosa, CO. Originally built in 1983, the farm has been producing quality fresh mushrooms for 34 years. Over the years the farm has supplied fresh mushrooms to the Intermountain and Southwest region of the United States. The farm currently grows white and brown (crimini and portabella) mushrooms. Along with our farms located in Wyoming (Organic), Oregon, Montana and Oakville, MB, Canada, our products are marketed under the “Rakhra Mushrooms” label.
During the past 4 years we have updated many of our growing operations with the latest technologies and over the next 1-2 years we will be updating all our growing rooms to help increase production and lower our growing costs.
Food safety has become an important part of fresh produce production in recent years. Our commitment to food safety is second to none. We have completed and passed all the required food safety audits with scores that are above-average for our industry. We are certified at SQF Level 2. Our food safety team is qualified and committed to keep all our facilities leading the industry with our food safety practices. We look forward to growing and supplying our customers with the best quality fresh mushrooms in our industry of many years to come.
