• CARTON PACK WAY TO SUSTAINABLE THINKING (Aug 16, 2019)

  CARTON PACK (booth #2477), thanks to its global expertise in fresh product packaging, has developed two innovative packaging solutions following the strategic approach of "sustainable thinking", which considers global sustainability as a fundamental value of the product mix.

  The D2 top sealable tray is the new benchmark in research and engineering of thermoformed packaging. The profile of the top border has been redesigned to guarantee the highest strenght during  sealing process. The corner profiles have been reinforced by solid ribs with rounded lines. Both sides have been made brighter and more linear to allow perfect visibility of the product contained. The greatest value, however, lies behind the structure of the bottom: the layout has some basements for the best distribution of the weight and the raising of the entire structure. The optimal breathing of the fresh product (even if stacked for transport), is enhanced by special holes that have been fixed to collect the outside air and introduce it from the bottom of the tray. The air flowing system thus allows complete ventilation of the product contained from bottom to top.

  FlatBag® is the result of the optimization of a long experience of Carton Pack in the sector of bags for the food industry. Made entirely of paper, it represents an excellent solution for branding purposes, thus maintaining a really sustainable appeal. Printing is processed using certified inks for food contact. Light and at the same time very resistant to traction, it is supplied completely "flat" to optimize transport costs and consequently the environmental impact in terms of LCA. The square bottom allows easy opening during filling and an it fits to the size of every standard format boxes. There are various sizes to allow the packaging of a wide range of sales units, from 350 gr. up to more than 1000 gr.

  CartonPET^® is a groundbreaking, eco-sustainable alternative to standard R-PET containers for fruit, vegetables and fresh-cut food.

  The structure of a CartonPET^® container achieves very low specific weights (-50% compared to same R-PET tray); the functional and mechanical characteristics of a CartonPET^® container are equal to R-PET ones.

  CartonPET^® is made up to 100% recycled material that assures the lowest environmental impact. It has an outstanding appeal as it looks like containers made of paper or cardboard. Furthermore, CartonPET^® has a crisp backdrop and a remarkably smooth surface (any color provided).

  An environment-friendly Company

  In Carton Pack ustainability means to employ intelligent technologies in energy and raw materials consumption and to safeguard the environment at every stage of the production and distribution process. Carton Pack has implemented its production facilities with a photovoltaic system that produces a peak power of 726 KW with a consequent average output of about 1.000.000 KW/year (PVGis data), thus lowering the CO₂ emissions by about 530 tons/year.
