    UNITEC Group will be exhibiting for the tenth consecutive year at the international exhibition PMA Fresh Summit, scheduled in Anaheim, California, on October 18th and 19th, 2019. The Group will bring all the innovation and excellence of its technologies for fruit and vegetable quality selection, designed to guarantee important improvements to the processing of Packing Houses that have chosen the technologies of UNITEC Group.

    The relationship between the UNITEC Group and the North American market is very close, thanks to the important results achieved by the Customers who have chosen UNITEC and Unisorting solutions in recent years.

    A relationship that has strengthen up even more now that a third office in The Dalles (Oregon) has been added to the two existing UNITEC USA branches, located respectively in Wenatchee (Washington) and in Lodi (California).

    And this is not the latest news in terms of new openings! In June 2019, the year in which the Group's 95th birthday is celebrated, the thirteenth UNITEC branch in the world officially opened its doors: UNITEC Canada, based in the city of Kelowna, in the region of British Columbia.

    In both countries, with the opening of these new branches, UNITEC aims to be closer to its North American Customers in the process of continuous improvement of their business, thanks to a rapid service and a professional, specialized and widespread assistance guaranteed by its technical expertise.

    Indeed, this aspect is hard-wired into the DNA of UNITEC, which has always believed that all Customers deserve the highest possible level of attention and service, no matter how far they operate.

    The technologies, displayed at the booth 2612 and the Results that they have been able to generate for the Customers all over the world will play the starring role in the UNITEC Group’s participation at the PMA exhibition:

    • UNITEC Blueberry Vision 3 technology, the last frontier in the field of blueberry quality selection, presented and launched on the international market at Fruit Logistica 2019;
    • UNITEC Peach Vision 3 and UNIQ Peach technologies, designed to select respectively the external and internal quality of peaches, in order to reveal all their organoleptic secrets;
    • Unisorting Pears Sort 3 and Dates Sort 3 technologies, for the external quality selection of pears and dates.

    Unisorting Pears Sort 3 system, the beating heart of Diamond Fruit Growers' 18-lane installation, has truly brought surprising benefits to this Packing House:

    "We have received many comments about the line and all have been positive.

    Other packing houses have come to tour the line

    and have expressed how efficient and smoothly it runs.

    Retailers that have received our product have commented on our fruit quality

    and how very consistent it is!"

    This is how David Garcia, President of Diamond Fruit Growers, summarized the Results of the first pear season carried out with UNITEC technology.

    In short, great satisfaction for all the people involved, at all levels, of the fruit and vegetable supply chain.

    Retailers were not simply surprised, but actually impressed by the quality consistency of the product supplied by Diamond Fruit Growers. Indeed, several distribution chains have openly declared that the fruit they exhibited on the shelves stood out for its level of homogeneity, which appeared considerably higher than usual levels: this has significantly encouraged the end consumers to increasingly purchase this product.

    The experience of Diamond Fruit Growers highlights how the pre-sorting line, manufactured by UNITEC, really marked the beginning of a new era in the world of pear handling.

    The event in Anaheim, California, will be the ideal platform for the UNITEC Group to further showcase its Innovations and Results they are able to generate in the North American market.

    “This has been a very important year for UNITEC, which has kept innovating its technological portfolio following the path of development in the last 12 months. - said the President of the Group Angelo Benedettiindeed, UNITEC strongly believes that continuous innovation is the only possible way to give real and high-performance answers to the needs of each Customer. All over the world!”

    The presence of the UNITEC team at the PMA Fresh Summit is animated by the things that have driven the company in these 95 years of life: technological know-how, passion for on-going innovation and the will to take 100% responsibility to guarantee tangible Results to the Customers. Today and in the future.
