Steel-to-steel connections without drilling or welding!
Since 1934, Lindapter has designed and manufactured innovative bolting and clamping systems which provide rated steel-to-steel connections without the need for drilling, tapping, or welding in the field. Welding can be time consuming and expensive as it requires skilled labor and specialized equipment. Welding can also be problematic because of fire danger, fumes, slag, and heat damage to the metal and coatings (ie: paint, galvanization, etc). Drilling holes in existing steel can also be time consuming and it weakens those structural members. Lindapter connections are quick to install and avoid all of these potential problems while still providing strong and reliable steel connections (many supported by ICC ESR Reports).
Specific to the Rail Industry, Lindapter connections are specified in a wide variety of steel connection applications including trackside attachments to poles/towers, overhead electrification connections, signage and signaling, lighting, station and depot structures, MEP/HVAC/strut connections, clips for securing steel bar grating and solid floor plates, and many other connections that would otherwise be welded or bolted.
