Wilbur Anderson founded a two-way radio company in 1945. As his service area expanded, so did his need for communication towers. Wilbur looked for tower manufacturers and found they all had similar problems: the towers were too expensive, lead times were too long, and the quality was questionable. Wilbur viewed these problems as a personal challenge rather than a business-limiting setback, so he began to design his own line of towers.
Since then, Western Towers has grown into a full-service tower company with thousands of towers installed across the nation for many top organizations.
