We solve hard problems with nanotechnology

Existing materials aren’t keeping up with today’s and tomorrow’s demands. Our nanotechnology innovations make it possible to create products that are:

Applied Nanotech: Where game-changing solutions begin at nanoscale

Applied Nanotech develops novel nano-materials and processes that form the foundation for advances and competitive advantages for OEM and government agency customers in a wide variety of fields, from microelectronics manufacturing to defense to high-energy physics and nuclear energy.

Our products and processes include unique printable conductive metallic inks and paste materials, and carbon foils. Examples of conductive metallic inks include copper, nickel, indium and indium/tin alloys, and copper/nickel alloys, to deliver higher performance in demanding environments.

ANI’s water-based graphene foils are less expensive, more sustainable, and last longer

ANI carbon foils are based on an innovative water-based approach that incorporates our ink technology plus graphene and water. That’s it. Our process is greener and less expensive, and scales easily. No costly vacuum-based equipment is required. Plus our foils are more durable. We’re the primary vendor of carbon foils to large corporate manufacturers and operators of cyclotron accelerators for producing radio-pharmaceuticals used for medical imaging (e.g. PET scans).

Printed superconductors and high-density interconnects

As the market moves towards ever-finer and more numerous interconnects, traditional photo-etching processes become cost-prohibitive. ANI’s conductive inks and high-fidelity solders are the solution, enabling more superconducting connections in less space with fewer steps, lower process temperatures and less material waste. Customers for our ink products include corporate and government entities that require high-density superconducting interconnects for Quantum Computing and next-generation superconducting sensors and detectors.

Electronics packaging: Higher density, flexibility, and durability

Whether for NASA missions or hybrid flexible electronics, our nano-materials and methods enable new levels of performance for electronics packaging. Our ink alloys make it possible to print circuits to increasingly smaller dimensions, sustainably, at lower cost.

Examples? Detectors and shielding that withstand high heat, low cryogenic temperatures and extreme vibration; and flexible sensors for products of the future, from smart clothing to smart automobiles.

PRODUCTS OF THE FUTURE, NOW

On the R&D side of our business, Applied Nanotech is leading the way in researching advanced applications of nanotechnology, from smart clothing to smart automobiles. More accurate sub-micron sensors are needed for biometric clothing that assesses athletic performance and health, including glucose monitors for diabetics. As automobiles get smarter, enabling nano-technologies reduce cost and add functionality. Partner with us to conquer vast frontiers on a small scale!
