The initiative of Sir Homi J. Bhabha as Chair of the first congress on “Atoms for Peace” at Geneva, Switzerland in 1955 was a revelation to the entire world, endorsing origins of the discipline of Nuclear Medicine. The Society of Nuclear Medicine, India was founded in 1967, and has played an instrumental role in advancing Nuclear Medicine in collaboration with international societies like SNMMI, EANM, and others to further the field's progress.
India has witnessed an exponential growth in Nuclear Medicine, with signfiicant participation in international meetings and publications in mainstream journals. SNMMI has recognized India as the Highlight Country at their 2023 annual meeting in Chicago, acknowledging India's contributions to clinical and research imaging and theranostics.
We invite the attendees to join us at the inaugural ceremony to witness India's transformation in medicine and technology, especially towards excellence in theranostics, and to enjoy Indian music, food, and beverages at the Highlight Country booth (#6043).
