Innovation in novel radioisotope production and medical imaging research. Come talk to us about your PET isotope and radiopharmaceutical needs!

Built upon an Advanced Cyclotron Systems Inc. TR-24 cyclotron with 4 beamlines, a GMP PET production facility, and a dedicated radiopharmacy, the UAB cyclotron facility is raising the standard for novel targetry, isotope processing, radiopharmaceutical synthesis, and support for pre-clinical and clinical imaging. Our program boasts 2 ANDAs, over 12 active INDs, and is at the forefront of high-impact research supporting pre-clinical INDs such as [89Zr]trastuzumab, [11C]PiB, and [18F]DPA-714 (the first site in the US). Our facility facilitates research by universities, commercial pharmacies, and national labs in the fields of oncology, cardiology, neuroimaging, and targetry. We have developed novel solid targets and processing techniques for enriched target materials resulting in growing production of 45Ti, 64Cu, 89Zr, and 47Sc with regular shipments to sites globally. The UAB Cyclotron Facility is also a member of the University Isotope Network managed by the DOE Isotope Program providing 48V, 55Co, 52Mn and 203Pb. Please visit isotopes.gov for inquiries of these isotopes.  Let us know how we can help you reach new heights in your research and imaging!
