    Product description

The LR7 is a passive 2-way line-source loudspeaker system. It is a true line-array system, to be used as vertical array, either in stacked or flown configuration, for both portable and permanent installations. Loaded with the RBN401 pro-ribbon driver on a “Morpher” lens (up to 94% frontal radiation!), the system features 120° dispersion with seamless coverage, due to the pro-ribbon’s all-natural cylindrical (Isophasic) wavefront. Its transient response and unusual high peak power handling (800W/200mS) caters for an amazing intelligibility and throw, while offering maximum “gain-before-feedback” up to directly under the array.

The micro-sized design, combined with the weightsaving all Neodymium drivers, makes the system very easy to handle.

The “Morpher” is mounted in the “ALrad™” waveguide, which utilizes the stiffness and heat transfer capabilities of aluminium. Mounted on the RBN, the ALrad™ extends the cooling surface for even further reducing power compression for increased SPL over time.

The SignalIntegritySensing™ pre-wiring ensures complete cable/connector compensation between the LR7 and ALC. Typical (short to medium throw) applications for the LR7 include as compact main system for theatre, A/V or corporate events where minimal sightline obstruction is required, with exceptional sound reproduction. It is available in 90° and 120° configuration.

In applications where extended bass response is required, the LR7 can be combined with a pressure bass or deep-sub system

For full system performance, we recommend using the LR7 in combination with an ALC amplified loudspeaker controller. Driven by the ALC, the LR7 delivers maximum sound quality with inaudible (power and excursion) protection. All LR7 system presets are included in the preset library of the ALC, with which also array-length and positioning (stacked/flown) can be adjusted.

    Product description

The RR12 is a point-source array element, developed as “building block” to create tight packed arrays for controlled sound coverage in the widest variety of audience areas.

The system features the Alcons-proprietary RBN602rs 6” pro-ribbon driver and a custom-designed 12” woofer with 4” voice coil, dual-spider suspension with forced-venting; while both transducers have Neodymium motor structures, the RR12 has a very high performance-to-weight ratio.

The purpose-designed 6” pro-ribbon driver is based on Alcons’ all-new “RBN02” pro-ribbon platform; This platform dramatically raises the bar in power handling and efficiency of pro-ribbon transducer technology.

The RBN602rs is coupled to an asymmetric “Morph-Max™” wave-guide, designed using the latest, state-of-the-art development tools: Proprietary-programmed analysis/simulation software in combination with 3D-prototyping and special manufacturing techniques, resulted in this non-compressing, resonance-free multi-cell guide with wide-band razor-sharp directivity control up to beyond 20kHz..

The trapezoidal cabinet is fitted with integrated mounting hardware, enabling array assembly with just a single operation from the rear of the cabinet.

Tight-packing the RR12 in horizontal or vertical arrays for stacked or flown applications, dispersion patterns are formable in increments of 30°; 30°, 60°, 90°, 120° in the coupling plane, by asymmetric 60° (+20°/-40°) in the non-coupling plane.

The RR12 is driven by the Sentinel amplified loudspeaker controller; The system’s response is optimised by factory presets for each array configuration, including presets for phase-matched low-frequency extensions.

The SignalIntegritySensing™ pre-wiring ensures complete cable/connector compensation between the RR12 and Sentinel, resulting in a fast and tight mid and bass response, while reducing distortion even further.

Utmost reliability is one of the main essentials for Alcons systems: Each transducer/processing design has to pass a rigorous 1000 hour test at maximum (clip) levels. This is a key element in Alcons’ system development.

Each array configuration can be simulated in the Alcons Ribbon Calculator (ARC), Alcons’ high-resolution 3D simulation program.

    Product description

The VR5 is a 2-way mini versatile loudspeaker, specifically designed for near-field applications where ultimate fidelity response needs to be projected with wide horizontal and vertical coverage.

The system brings the typical clear, dynamic and ultra-low distortion Alcons signature sound of the larger systems in a very small and unobtrusive package, for both portable and permanent applications.

The VR5 consists of the RBN202 pro-ribbon driver for HF and a dedicated-designed 5” mid-bass with Active Coil™ for extremely low-distortion LF reproduction. The VR5 HF section has a 500 W peak power input, enabling a 1:16 dynamic range with up to 90% less distortion from 1 kHz to beyond 20 kHz.

The patented (90-degrees) horizontal and patent-pending (60-degrees) vertical dispersion of the revolvable waveguide, offers a wide and consistent coverage up to the highest frequencies; Very important for the imaging in stereo or immersive systems.

Due to the “compression-less” principle of the pro-ribbon transducer technology, the system has a fully linear response at any SPL, for an intuitive 1:1 performance.

For full system performance, the VR5 needs to be driven by an ALC controller-amplifier, delivering maximum sound quality with increased headroom and utmost operation reliability and flexibility.

The Signal Integrity Sensing™ pre-wiring ensures complete cable/connector compensation between the VR5 and ALC, significantly increasing response accuracy, regardless of cable length and system impedance, with tight and accurate mid and bass response as result.

The combination of the asymmetric multi-angle enclosure, the revolvable waveguide and the ACO™ color option provides for inconspicuous low profile stage, stand, wall or ceiling positioning. The 5 M10 mounting points enable swivel bracket, shoulder eye bolt and mic stand deployment.

Typical (short to medium throw) applications for the VR5 range from reference monitor, low-profile stage-lip/front-fill, stage monitor, under-balcony system up to a nearfield main PA system, in combination with a separate subwoofer.

    Product description

The BC332 is a self-contained, high-output cardioid subwoofer system for both permanent and portable ground-stacked applications. It is designed to offer a high output, tight and accurate sub-bass response, for low-frequency extension of any Alcons pro-ribbon system.

By means of a front and rear located woofer configuration, in combination with dedicated processing, the system offers selectable cardioid low-frequency pattern control and excellent rear rejection (up to 42dB), without the need for additional cabinets.

On the front side, one 18” long-excursion woofer with 4-in. voice-coil with double-spider and demodulation ring frame, is mounted in a front-loaded configuration, with X-Venting™; This port takes more than 20% of the baffle surface and is designed to maximise the system’s breathing capacity, increasing overall output while minimising port-compression.

On the rear side, a single 15” long-excursion woofer with 4-in. voice-coil with double-spider and demodulation ring frame, is mounted in a “front”-loaded configuration, with Flank-Venting™ port; This folded port design enables optimal reflex-breathing, under minimal baffle dimensions.

The combination of complex internal panel lay-out and extensive bracing brings a rigid structure with a high enclosure stiffness from a relatively low-weight package. It is finished in Durotect™ scratch-resistant coating and is fitted with 6 handles for easy logistics + stand mount adapter (road-version).

The BC332 is powered and controlled by the ALC amplified loudspeaker controller; Through the integrated processor, the ALC offers BC332-specific drive processing with response optimisation, dedicated power and excursion protection, and hybrid filtering.

The preset library contains cardioid settings for maximum rear-/side-ward attenuation. The 4 ohms impedance offers efficient amplifier loading.

Through the SIS™ (Signal Integrity Sensing) circuit, the cable-length and connector resistance between the BC332 and ALC is completely compensated (system damping factor >10.000), for further increased accuracy and controlled cone-travel, resulting in a tighter sub and bass response.

    • All Neodymium drivers for excellent performancetoweight ratio
    • SIS prewired for very high damping and further reduced distortion
    • Shallow form factor and ACO™ color option for unobtrusive, "stealth" installation

    Product description

The QR24 is a modular 2-way column loudspeaker to be used as vertical array system, for both permanent and (limited) portable applications.
It combines a perfectly natural, dynamic sound reproduction with superb intelligibility and throw, in even the acoustically most challenging environments.

The symmetrical acoustic design, in combination with the patented horizontal dispersion of the RBN HF drivers, offers a coherent horizontal pattern control with seamless coverage; This widens the “stereo sweet spot” significantly, for the off-axis positioned audience.

By using only 2 RBN drivers, the system’s active frontal radiation is close to 90%; The resulting sharply-controlled vertical dispersion offers a superb, SPL-independent, intelligibility over distance, without the necessity of DSP-based beam-shaping.

This controlled (cylindrical) projection can be extended down to the lower frequencies by enlarging the array length through adding extra QR/QM modules (extending the “near field”).

The passive filtering allows multiple modules to be combined on one amplifier channel, up to 3 units.

Each purpose-designed 12″ RBN driver has a peak power handling of 2.000W (200 msec), creating a virtually infinite system headroom of 4.000W from 1kHz up; Together with the high acoustical output, the system enables high-SPL sound-reinforcement performance.

The flat frequency response and the fast transient response of the RBN mid-high frequency transducers, in combination with the sharply controlled dispersion, brings a maximum “gain-before-feedback” up to directly in front of / under the system.

The QR24 is powered and controlled by the ALC amplified loudspeaker controller; Through the integrated processing and feedback, the ALC offers QR24-specific drive processing with optimal response and reliability and utmost user-friendliness.

The Signal Integrity Sensing™ pre-wiring ensures complete cable/connector compensation between the QR24 and ALC; This offers a 1:1, undistorted natural sound reproduction, regardless of cable length and amplifier impedance load (down to 2 ohms).
