Riedel is pleased to be participating in the 2019 USITT Stage Expo and we hope attendees will stop by to see, first hand, our innovative intercom and signal transport solutions as well as our new Stand-alone Bolero 6-channel wireless intercom system.
Riedel Communications designs, manufactures, and distributes innovative real-time networks for video, audio, data, and communications. Our products are deployed under the most demanding circumstances for broadcast, pro-audio, sports, theater, and security applications worldwide. Recent product announcements and news from Riedel include:
Bolero is a DECT-based intercom system in the license-free 1.9GHz frequency range. Fully integrated into Riedel’s Artist digital matrix intercom, Bolero offers robust features that can be applied three ways: a wireless beltpack, a wireless keypanel, and — in an industry first — a two-way radio. Several new technologies power Bolero’s capabilities including an Advanced DECT Receiver (ADR) for multipath tolerance improvement and near-field communication (NFC) for easy, “Touch&Go” beltback registration.
The MediorNet MicroN is a high-density signal interface with a complete array of audio, video, and data inputs and outputs, including 12 SD/HD/3G-SDI inputs and 12 SD/HD/3G-SDI outputs, two MADI optical digital audio ports, a Gigabit Ethernet port, two sync reference I/Os, and eight 10G MediorNet Links (4.25 capable). MicroN is available as a fully networked MediorNet device, as well as in a point-to-point edition at a very competitive price point.
The innovative RSP-2318 SmartPanel is an app-based control panel that serves as a powerful multifunctional user interface. The first app allowed SmartPanel to function as in intercom keypanel for the Tango and Artist intercom platforms.
The new MediorNet Control App for SmartPanel provides direct communication with the MediorNet network and control of signals within it. With the Intercom and MediorNet Control Apps running in parallel, the SmartPanel serves as a robust and highly cost-effective A/V control system allowing simultaneous intercom functionality, enabling routing, control, and communications in a single RU.
As Riedel continues to develop apps for the SmartPanel, users will gain increasing capabilities that help to optimize signal transport and production workflows.
