Central prepares students for the professional world as specialists in their subjects, which span the full range of theatre design, crafts and production.
Our 3-year Bachelors degree in Theatre Practice allows you to immerse yourself in one of 10 distinct areas while collaborating with others gaining a full understanding of the whole production process.
Students choose to specialise in one of the following areas:
Design for Performance
Scenic Painting for Stage and Screen
Set Construction for Stage and Screen
Technical and Production Management
Graduates can be found throughout the world working in theatre, films and television, exhibitions and live events, including top West End shows (Aladdin and Harry Potter and the Cursed Child). Notable alumni from the course include Tony Award-winning sound designer Gareth Fry and Tony Award-winning Lighting Designer Finn Ross.
The degree offers professional placement opportunities as well as a final year industry showcase in the form of the Theatre Practice Exhibition; whatsmore, key figures from industry enrich the learning experience through masterclasses and practical support on projects.
Studying a theatre-focused course in London allows you to immerse yourself in the London theatre scene from West End smash hits to smaller fringe shows in intimate venues across the capital. We encourage and support you to see as many different types of productions as possible to further your breadth of knwoledge and experience and have incredible relationships with theatres and artists across the country.
Located at stand 1651, Central is able to talk to prospective students about studying in the UK (specifically in London) and undertake interviews for students who have portfolios with them.
