Rapid Set® Cement is a fast-setting, high-performance cement that provides faster return to service, high strength, and increased durability. Rapid Set Cement qualifies as very rapid hardening (VRH) per ASTM C1600 (Standard Specification for Hydraulic Cement). This rapid strength allows pavement to be
returned to service quickly, minimizing downtime of critical infrastructure. Other key characteristics of the products include low shrinkage, low permeability, and superior resistance to sulfate attack, all of which contribute to the exceptional durability. Unlike other fast-setting cements, Rapid Set is a single, stand-alone cement manufactured in a cement kiln. It does not contain any portland cement or other additives. Its low carbon footprint makes it a more sustainable alternative to portland cement.
