The Office of the Ombudsman for Individuals with Intellectual or Developmental Disabilities and Their Families was established to help make sure that individuals and families get the services and supports they need and deserve through three primary objectives: assisting people with navigating the NJ system of care, working to identify opportunities to improve the system, and helping ensure that the voice of the ID/DD community is heard in a meaningful way in decisions related to larger policy
