Achilles International was founded in 1983 by Dick Traum, the first athlete to run a marathon on a prosthetic leg.
The mission of Achilles is to transform the lives of people with disabilities through athletic programs and social connections.
With 66 chapters worldwide and school-based programs across the U.S., over 200,000 youth, adults, and veterans have experienced the power of crossing a finish line.
Achilles NYC has workouts in Manhattan, Brooklyn, The Bronx, Queens, and Staten Island! We also have workouts in New Jersey and Long Island.
