Pillar Care Continuum provides a wide range of services to infants, children and adults with more than 100 different disabilities/diagnoses.
The mission of the organization is to enhance the lives of people with disabilities and other special needs by delivering lifelong services that support personal growth, independence, and participation in the community.
Pillar Elementary School and Pillar High School serve more than 170 children with multiple disabilities who are between the ages of 3 and 21. Each child’s educational program is carefully integrated with a therapeutic program that includes physical, occupational and speech therapy as well as on-site aquatic therapy and assistive technology.
Pillar Care operates two day programs for adults, in Orange and Wayne, that serve more than 120 adults with developmental disabilities, including persons with special medical needs and challenging behaviors. The programs stress habilitation services, skill development, educational, and recreational activities. They also provide medical and behavioral support.
Pillar Care operates 19 group homes in Jefferson, Harding, Morris Township, Basking Ridge, West Orange (2), Maplewood, Westwood, Orange, Paterson (2), Wharton, Plainfield (3), Livingston (2), Florham Park and Warren. These homes provide the around-the-clock guidance, supervision and support the residents need to enjoy life in a warm, secure atmosphere.
Pillar Care also offers other programs, including an Early Intervention Program (EIP) for infants from birth to three years of age, and After School Programs at our elementary and high schools.
