IL VIAGGIO TRAVEL is a Costa Rican family-owned tour operator founded in 2004, and since 2012 we have been pioneers in accessible and inclusive tourism in the country.
We design and operate customized, fully supported travel experiences in Costa Rica for people with disabilities, seniors, families, and multigenerational groups — ensuring that everyone can enjoy the same Costa Rica, with comfort, autonomy, and safety.
We believe travel is a right, not a privilege. Our mission is to make Costa Rica accessible to all, without separating people into different experiences. We work so that travelers with and without disabilities can explore together — sharing nature, culture, adventure, and connection.

• Accessibility Expertise Since 2012
We opened the accessible tourism market in Costa Rica. We personally inspect hotels, tours, transportation, beaches, and experiences. We create detailed accessibility fact sheets and match each itinerary to the specific needs of the traveler.
• Adapted Transportation
We operate modern, ada standard adapted vehicles equipped with electric lifts and secure wheelchair anchor systems. We transport manual and power wheelchairs safely and professionally.
• Specialized Equipment
We provide amphibious beach chairs, shower chairs, transfer equipment, and other mobility solutions as part of our full-service packages.
• Personalized Travel Planning
Every itinerary is built after understanding the traveler’s functional profile, equipment, level of independence, and goals. There is no “one-size-fits-all” accessible trip.
• On-the-Ground Support
We create direct communication channels (including WhatsApp groups with guides and operations staff) to ensure real-time coordination and immediate problem-solving during the trip.
