Illinois Chess Vets: 1) We conduct workshops on how-to-play and tactics. 2) We run chess recreational therapy programs at Illinois VA medical centers. 3) We educate folks on the health benefits of chess. 4) We are organizing a “Veteran’s Cup” chess league. 5) We run USCF rated and non rated chess tournaments. 6) We organize vets online play at: Chess.com, Group: ICV. 7) We are a “voice “ for veterans who play chess.
