USTA Texas & University of Houston Adapted Athletics
USTA Texas offers Providers training and tennis equipment to help a program get started; they also will go to a group to introduce tennis. They work with the Blind/VI, Deaf/Hearing Impaired, Cognitive/Neurodiversity, Para Standing, Stroke Survivors, and Wheelchair.
The University of Houston is the national champion of the 2024 ITA National Wheelchair Tennis Championships, the premier competition in all of collegiate wheelchair tennis and Head Coach Gabriel Guitterez won the ITA Wheelchair Coach of the Year. They offer free weekly wheelchair tennis programs in Houston.
