Description

AGA and Guidehouse reached out to over 100 financial leaders across the federal, state, local, tribal, and territorial space to better understand how the CFO community collaborates to develop effective business cases. After analyzing everything we heard, we have synthesized four components that CFOs had at the forefront of their mind as the backbone of a strong business case: meaningful long-term vision; thoughtfully measured value; effective & efficient governance structures; and consistent innovation. Join us to discuss these findings and work with your peers to share solutions to government finance and performance challenges.

Key Take-aways

• Understand what other public sector financial leaders are considering when developing effective business cases.
• Know the key challenges leaders should focus on when considering new investments.
• Discuss shared solutions to stay smart when considering new investment proposals.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this session, participants will understand the four elements that are must-haves for a CFO striving for concise, meaningful, and (hopefully) successful business cases.
