Eric Charles is a senior analyst at the US Government Accountability Office’s Innovation Lab. In this role, he works on projects to integrate data science methods into tools to support GAO’s oversight mission. Eric has worked on GAO program evaluations covering a variety of federal policy issues including small business issues, electricity policy, federal intellectual property management, and water management policy. Before GAO, Eric worked as a case investigator at a local welfare office delivering emergency assistance to local applicants. He holds an MPP from Johns Hopkins, and a BA from Indiana University.
