Scott DeViney is the Assistant Director of Quality Assurance for the Office of the Washington State Auditor. In this capacity, he leads the Office’s technical audit support team to deliver current audit guidance, training, technical assistance and quality assurance. Scott has worked for the Office since 2000.
Scott currently serves on both the Peer Review and Audit Standards & Reporting committees of the National State Auditors Association (NSAA). He also serves as chair of the Financial Management Standards Board of the AGA and the AGA’s representative on the Governmental Accounting Standards Advisory Council (GASAC).
Scott is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Washington State University. He also holds a Lean Six Sigma green belt certificate from the University of Washington and a Lean Six Sigma black belt certificate from the Council for Six Sigma Certification.
