Gary A Bojes, Ph.D. - Dr Bojes is the Senior Financial Economist to the Chief Financial Officer in the United States Department of Agriculture supporting the Rural Development (RD) mission area. RD provides federal funding programs for the Electric, Telecommunications, Water & Environmental Programs, Community Facilities, Housing and Rural Business & Industry in Rural America. RD is a large bank lending entity with portfolio of infrastructure investments exceeding $230 billion. Dr. Bojes works across these programs which can help build rural communities from the ground up. Dr. Bojes served in a number of roles within RD, a few including serving as Chief Risk Officer setting up the Special Asset Unit, as Senior Advisor to Rural Utilities, Community Facilities and Rural Housing, and on a number of teams throughout USDA.
Dr. Bojes brings over 25 years of experience in finance, accounting, investment banking, and management consulting with previous public policy, regulation and public service for the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation. (FDIC). Dr. Bojes doctorate is in Strategic Management and Public Policy, he holds a MBA, and is a licensed CPA and member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
