Profile

Dan Buchtel has more than 37 years experience in the federal audit community. He currently serves as Deputy Assistant Inspector General for Audit with the National Science Foundation OIG. Dan received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from University of Colorado-Denver and an MBA from Regis University and is a CPA in Colorado. A life-long resident of the Denver area, Dan enjoys hiking and fly fishing in the Colorado mountains and recently retired from working as a soccer referee. Dan and his wife, Rose, are proud parents of five daughters, residing in Colorado, Florida, and New York.
