Duane Walz has worked for the Office of the Washington State Auditor for over 27 years and is the Data and Business Systems Specialist for the Center for Government Innovation. As technical lead on the Financial Intelligence Tool (FIT) project Duane has a key role in collecting, maintaining and publishing local government financial data. Duane is a seasoned presenter who continues to find ways to provide tools to help local governments solve problems, reduce costs and improve the value of services.
Duane is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt. He is the recipient of the Office’s Outstanding Employee award and Standing Ovation Award for Innovation. He recently received a Business Analysis Certificate.
