Profile

Bill Wilson is a retired law enforcement officer, with over 31 years of law enforcement and criminal investigative experience, and is currently the Director of FEMA’s Fraud Investigations and Inspections Division (FIID). Bill spent 22 years with the Prince George’s County Police Department (PGPD) in Maryland, where he worked as an investigator and supervisor within the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) Homicide Unit, Sexual Assault Unit and the Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR). Bill retired from PGPD, began working for FEMA in 2013 and now manages a staff of 29 personnel. FIID is responsible for leading and overseeing FEMA’s anti-fraud efforts and investigating allegations of external fraud, waste and abuse of FEMA funds in all of its major programs.
