Kathleen Webb has served as the Chief Operations Officer for the California State Controller’s Office since October 2021. Prior to state service she worked for the American Arbitration Association, San Francisco Bay Girl Scouts, and State Farm Insurance. Her first state position was by appointment as the Governor’s Director of the Office of the Insurance Advisor. She later held positions with the Department of General Services, Correctional Health Care Services, California Public Employee Retirement System, Government Operations Agency, and most recently as the Chief Deputy Director of the Department of Motor Vehicles. Kathleen is a fourth-generation Californian with roots in Sacramento and a proud alumnus of the University of California, Berkeley.
