Profile

As Chief Financial Officer of Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, Mrs. Fischer leads the Laboratory’s Business Operations Department, with responsibility of long-term financial strategy development, human resource oversight, business-process improvement and operational efficiencies, innovative collaborations, business operations, risk mitigation, contract and compliance related matters, and the acquisition of all goods and services required by the Laboratory. The department is responsible for providing accounting, financial reporting, budget, procurement and contract management, and general business services to the Laboratory whose annual funding is approximately $100 million and employs approximately 520 employees. Mrs. Fischer earned a B.A. in psychology at Rutgers University, and an M.B.A. in business administration at Georgian Court University (Delta Mu Delta). She joined PPPL in 2013 after serving as the Director of Budget, Grants and Internal Controls for 17 years at the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General.
