Salim R. Mawani has committed his career to improving Federal financial management through good governance, transparent reporting, and improved accountability.
Mr. Mawani is currently a member of U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s (HUD) Federal Housing Administration (FHA). Specifically, his responsibilities include financial operations, including maintaining strong internal controls, improving financial systems, and supporting the annual financial reports. In this capacity, Mr. Mawani supports streamlining protocols to meet operational and financial reporting requirements.
Mr. Mawani recently completed a Fellowship with the White House Leadership Development Program to support the President’s Management Agenda (PMA) collaborating with OMB and GSA to work with 17 Federal agencies to successfully develop an acquisition strategy with industry leaders to explore possibilities and innovative frontiers for grants management.
