Cherish Johnson serves as the Chief Financial Officer for the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) since February 2020. Before joining the NRC, Ms. Johnson was the Chief Financial Officer/Chief Administrative Officer for National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Satellites and began her federal career in 2003 at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA). Ms. Johnson is a graduate of the University of Houston, where she received a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and a master’s degree in Management Information Systems. She has two grown sons and resides in Germantown, Maryland.
