Profile

Bryon Gordon is the Assistant Inspector General for Audit at the U.S. Department of Education Office of Inspector General (OIG). Prior to joining OIG in 2013, Mr. Gordon spent 23 years with the Government Accountability Office. From 2004 until 2013, Mr. Gordon was the Assistant Director for Education, Workforce and Income Security where his work focused on the oversight and management of Federal education programs, primarily K-12 programs.

Mr. Gordon earned his Masters of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Finance from Syracuse University in 1989, where he also obtained a B.A. in Economics and Policy Studies in 1988.
