Profile

Ms. Ijaz serves as the Assistant Chief Financial Officer for Systems at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. With almost 20 years of service to the federal government, her passion lies in enabling the government to use financial data to improve operations and deliver services more effectively. She oversees HUD’s financial systems and is working towards establishing a modernized and flexible financial system environment, empowering the Department to ensure accurate and timely availability of funds and proactively perform financial planning and data analysis. Further, Ms. Ijaz leads the oversight and assistance to HUD’s competitive grant programs to ensure timely execution consistent with guidance. Prior to her current role, Ms. Ijaz served as a Senior Advisor to the Chief Financial Officer and led the Department’s enterprise data efforts with the GSA’s Data Analytics Center of Excellence. From July 2019 to October 2019, Ms. Ijaz served as the Acting Chief Data Officer for the Department. Ms. Ijaz also serves on the Board for a 501c3 charity, Liver Mommas & Families, supporting families of children with life-threatening liver disease and/or liver transplants.
